Licensing Options

Local and Network licenses

SoftGenetics provides executable files for the installation of NextGENe and the NextGENe Viewer. NextGENe processes the raw NGS data and the Viewer allows browsing and reviewing analysed data and calling variants. NextGENe has standard one viewer included that is automatically installed during first time installation. Licenses are available as a local or network version. Local lincenses are registerd to one PC. The network-licensing version can be installed on any computer in a network configuration. SoftGenetics uses the License Server Manager (LSM) to control the number of concurrent users accessing the network-licensing option. Extra Viewer licenses can be obtained in order to allow multiple researchers to review preocessed data simultaniously.

Support and updates

NextGENe and the NextGENe Viewers have a time-based license. Time-based licenses need to be activated every year in order to retain functionality and to receive technical support and updates.

The number of users that need the software simultaneously determines the number of NextGENe licenses and/or the Viewer licenses that are needed. In order to discuss your needs please send your inquiry to [email protected]
