Company Profile

Syntec International was established in 2004, with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. Syntec specializes in products and instruments for the preparation of samples for Flow Cytometry and Tissue culture. Syntec's mission in collaboration with its partners is to bring new innovative technology to the market distributing them worldwide through well-established Healthcare and Laboratory suppliers.

Syntec Products offered by BIOKÉ

Medimachine II - Gentle Tissue Dissociation and Fine Homogenization

The Medimachine II is designed to provide both gentle tissue dissociation and fine homogenization using appropriate disposable devices with different technical features according to the required procedure. The instrument has an interactive touch-screen for selection of operation mode and for consulting the on board manual. This specific screen has been selected for use wearing lab gloves. The software offers multi-lingual settings and two modes: manual and automatic

Medimachine I - For Automated, Tissue Dissociation

The Medimachine system is a sample preparation system for the automated, mechanical disaggregation of solid animal or plant tissues for flow cytometric analysis, cell culture, or DNA amplification. The Medimachine system consists of three components: the Medimachine, Medicons, and Filcons. Various pore sizes of disposable, sterile, and non-sterile Medicons and Filcons allow the operator to optimize experimental conditions to suit the tissue under study, ensuring clean, viable preparations of single cells, cell clusters, or cell nuclei. The procedure is fast and simple.

Medimax

The Medimax system is a sample preparation system for the automated, mechanical disaggregation of solid animal or plant tissues for flow cytometric analysis, cell culture, or DNA amplification techniques. The Medimax system makes tissue preparation safe and independent of operator technique, and facilitates standardizing the preparation of all tissue types. Times and protocols can even be standardized across labs.

Medicons & Medicons Max - Disposable Mechanical Disaggregator for Cell Dissociation

Medicons are disposable polyethylene chambers containing an immobile stainless steel screen with approximately 100 hexagonal holes. Around each hole are six microblades designed for efficient cutting of hard and soft tissues

Filcons & Filcons Max - Disposable Filter for Separating Cells and Nuclei

Filcons - Filcons are disposable filters for separating cells and nuclei. It’s porous membrane has an effective surface area of 80 mm2, enabling large quantities of cell suspensions to be filtered. The microporous polyethylene funnel section is designed to pass the biological material to be retrived while trapping waste particles under 1.5µm in size. Filcons filters with syringe fittings can be used in either suction or compression. Maximum pressure is 25 psi (1.8 bar). Whichever method is employed,is recommanded anyway to use the syringe as a reservoir without applying pressure to the plunger, so that the specimen is allowed to percolate through. For quantities of less than 5 ml the cup-type Filcons filter should be used.

Filcons-Max - Filcons-Max is a disposable filter for separating cells and nuclei. It’s porous membrane has an effective surface area of 660 mm2, enabling large quantities of cell suspensions to be filtered. The microporous polyethylene funnel section is designed to pass the biological material to be retrived while trapping waste particles under 1.5μm in size. Filcons-Max are only available as cup-type. They fit perfectly the 50 ml tubes as indicated in the pictures All packages contain 100 units. Non sterile Filcons-max are packed in 20 units/bag, Sterile FIlcons-Max are packed 1 unit/blister.
