5X OneTaq (Mg-Free) Standard Reaction Buffer is optimized for use with OneTaq and OneTaq Hot Start DNA Polymerases. This reaction buffer has been formulated for robust yields while allowing for maximal flexibility in Mg2+ optimization. The OneTaq (Mg-Free) Standard Reaction Buffer with supplemental MgCl2 is recommended for most routine and/or AT-rich amplicons (i.e. Lambda, etc.) or complex amplicons with up to ~65% GC content that require complete control over the reaction's Mg2+ concentration. Supplemental MgCl2 is provided.
