LightScanner Assays LightScanner® Assays for Hi-Res Melting™ Idaho Technology has designed and optimized the following assays for use with the LightScanner System. The list continues to grow, based on requests and suggestions from users. Click on the type of assay below to go to the specific list of LightScanner assays: Many of the SNP genotyping assays use an unlabeled probe, also known as a LunaProbe™, in combination with LCGreen® Plus Dye, to genotype samples. LightScanner customers can obtain the protocols free of charge, by selecting any of the assays listed here and filling in and submitting the form. They will receive a 2 page protocol for the assay they have chosen that will include the primer and probe sequences, reaction set up conditions (with Master Mix), amplification protocol and example results.
