The LightScanner is a post-PCR Hi-Res Melting™ system for mutation scanning and genotyping using 96-well or 384-well plates. With superb sensitivity and specificity, this instrument is designed to meet the needs of high throughput scanning projects. An intuitive analysis software groups the results and provides automatic calling. PCR is performed in the presence of LCGreen dye, and PCR plates are then transferred to the LightScanner for analysis. 

Fast, Simple & Economic

The LightScanner can be programmed to melt samples on an entire plate in 5 to 15 minutes (depending on the starting temperature and ramp rate). It operates on a processor with 14-bit resolution per data point and collects high-resolution data both on the temperature axis and on the fluorescence axis. Its optics are tailored for LCGreen® Melting Dyes, but are also compatible with SYBR® Green and other green dyes. The LightScanner is the most cost-effective solution for high-throughput mutation scanning applications.
